Vertical flicks (flicking after you jump) can be useful keeping ranged opponents at bay, or hitting an unaware opponent out of range of your horizontal flick since it has crazy long range (here, you need to learn how to predict your defensive needs, since it has an even longer windup than the normal flick, using it in reaction to, instead of pre-empting enemy encroachment will allow them to rush you down and splat you before you finish). Just like any weapon, aiming upward will increase your range, but if you flick first, and then jump, you'll be able to increase the range of your horizontal flick even further (just delay the jump with the Dynamo, or you'll land back on the ground before the actual flick happens). Keeping in mind the range, strength and speed (or lack thereof) of the heavier rollers, distant flicks are going to be your main offensive. These heavier rollers also consume much more ink, so I'd recommend ink saver main (if you're using a roller and run out of ink, you're dead, especially with decreased movement from the heavy weapon).

These slower, stronger rollers have appreciably increased range compared to their speedier, lighter counterparts to compensate for their lack of speed and stealth. Try to predict where players are going and time your smack when you think they're about to round the corner so they run into death Looney Toons style.ĭespite the name, not all rollers are meant to roll (that isn't to say they can't, just that depending on the roller, and immediate circumstances, it isn't always the optimal strategy i.e. Try to keep track of enemy movements (especially when you think someone's tailing you). Keep your eyes moving and on the field at all times. I can only really offer advice on the Dynamo since that's what I've been playing. With my limited experience, it feels like the roller is the king of the sneak attack. I've only recently been able to get into rollers myself (after having tons of trouble with them).
